Race for Good in 2015
Start off the new year on the right foot with our Race for Good group!
Good Measure Meals has your nutrition needs covered, but a healthy lifestyle is about way more than just the food you eat. That’s why we’ve established our Race for Good series. We’ve committed to participate in one 5K race every month, and we look forward to seeing our staff, customers, family, and friends out at the Starting Line as our team continues to grow!
The first race of the year is the MLK Day 5K “Let Freedom Run,” with proceeds from race registration benefiting the community-oriented initiatives of Atlanta-area schools, churches, community organizations and businesses. The 3.1 mile race will take place around Piedmont Park, with the start and finish across 10th Street from Grady HS in Piedmont Park. Music starts at 8 a.m., and the starting line-up will be at 8:45 a.m.
Not only will there be a post-race party including music and events centered around the celebration of MLK Day, but there will also be a 5K Drumline along the race course. About one drummer every 50 meters will give the race a unique vibe that will transform the 3.1 miles into fast parade.
