Race for Good Team to Run the Beltline in July
Good Measure Meals’ Race for Good series is now truly in full swing!
As you know by now, we’ve had some really fun events the last couple of months: The Junior League of Atlanta’s Shamrock N’ Roll, The Candler Park 5K for Atlanta ContactPoint, and the CHOA Strong4Life Super Hero Sprint, just to name a few. Let’s just say the running season (and our awesome team!) has been heating up right along with the weather.
Our next Race for Good event in July is just around the corner. Come join us Saturday, July 12 at Gordon White Park for the Atlanta Beltline Southwest 5K. This 5K Run/Walk is an exciting race that winds through the historic West End and Westview neighborhoods. We’ll pass through many local parks on the run, and we’ll even get to go “off-road” for a ¾-mile section right inside the Atlanta Beltline corridor.
In fact, our GMM Race for Good team ran this race last year, and we liked it so much, we didn’t hesitate to schedule it in this year’s calendar.
One of the reasons why we enjoy supporting this race is because the proceeds support the Atlanta Beltline Project, which is currently one of the nation’s largest active urban re-development and mobility projects. Good Measure Meals and Open Hand also partner with the Atlanta Beltline regularly to host Nutrition Walks with our registered dietitians. We really value the Beltline as a community resource and the vitality it has already brought and continues to bring to our city.
Please join us at the 5K in July! For any first-timers out there, the Race for Good crew welcomes and encourages racers of all skill levels – from walkers to joggers to racers, and everyone in between. After all, it’s ultimately about improving our health together one step at a time. Plus, it’s always fun to get outdoors and support a good cause.
How to Join the Race for Good Team:
2. Forward your e-mail with your race registration confirmation to email@example.com, and make sure you confirm with us which race you’re running (some events have more than one race/distance per race day).
3. Everyone who runs with us gets a FREE Technical Fit Race for Good shirt, so please include your t-shirt size in the e-mail!
4. “Like” us on Facebook at Race for Good—Good Measure Meals. You’ll receive race updates, training tips, and information about where to find us on race day to meet your new team mates and pick up your GMM race t-shirt!
