June 5K Race Combats Childhood Obesity
Right on the heels of the May 31 Race for Good 5K comes our road race for June: The Strong4Life Superhero Sprint!
This family (and pup)-friendly 5K race supports the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Strong4Life movement, dedicated to “reversing the epidemic of childhood obesity and its associated diseases in Georgia…through school and provider training programs, community partnerships and policy change efforts.”
Dress up in your finest superhero costume attire (Comic book or movie characters! Mom or Dad! Local firemen or police! Nurses! Teachers!), and join us at 8:30 a.m. Saturday June 7 at Piedmont Park. There will be a superhero costume contest at 10:15 a.m. following the race, so make sure to add some flair to your race-wear!
