February 5K Helps Gives Homeless a Second Chance

Good Measure Meals’ Race for Good 2014 calendar is off to a great start! Let’s keep the momentum going and amp up our heart health this month with with our next race that supports an amazing organization in our city.

The February 5K is a doozy; although, unfortunately for all you guys out there, it’s a ladies-only event. Men – you’ll just have to show your support by coming out and cheering the team on!

On February 22, we’ll be Racing for Good at the “Back on Your Feet, Mizuno Women’s 5K.” The race will begin at the City of Refuge homeless shelter in downtown Atlanta.

Why a homeless shelter? Well this race benefits the organization Back on My Feet (BOMF). BOMF is a is a national, non-profit (“for-purpose”) 501(c)3 organization that uses running to help those experiencing homelessness shift/improve the way they see themselves so they can then make real changes that result in employment and independent living.

The “Back on Your Feet, Mizuno Women’s 5K” race kicks off BOMF’s new partnership with the City of Refuge shelter, and the race also celebrates the launch of BOMF’s first all-female running team. It’s an incredible mission, and one that Good Measure Meals is proud to support. We hope you will join us in investing in our community through Back on My Feet!
Registration is $35, but Race for Good team members can save $10 on their registration by using the promo code Good5. (Discount increased from $5 to $10!)
