GMM: The Perfect “Tune-Up” Plan
Becca Barnes checks back in with Good Measure Meals to help maintain her weight loss.
It’s been four-and-a-half years since I was on Atlanta’s Biggest Loser and lost 39 pounds in 12 weeks with the help of Good Measure Meals (GMM). Using the lessons I learned through GMM, I kept losing more and more weight after the competition and continued periodically ordering GMM’s 4-week meal plan to help keep me on track. And over the course of the next 15 months, I ended up losing an amazing 99 pounds!!
And then life happened. I gained back nine pounds. That doesn’t sound like a lot of weight, but I’m 5’1”, and every little bit is significant. Then last year my daughter became ill. Caring for myself and trying to maintain my weight went right out the window. I mean I chucked all that hard work right out the window! I gained back SEVENTEEN pounds – aaaaaaaccckk!
So there I was. Back to being uncomfortable and not fitting into any of the cute clothes I purchased after my weight loss. I’d had enough, but I knew exactly what to do next. My safety net Good Measure Meals came to the rescue! One month of GMM was the perfect kick-start to get me back on track.
In fact, Good Measure Meals is the perfect kick-start to any weight loss journey. The meals always remind me of the most important weight loss lesson: portion control, and they also instruct me on how to balance eating healthy with being satisfied. With those lessons back in hand, I’ve lost last year’s 17 pounds! I could not have done it without Good Measure Meals.
For me, losing weight has been all about determination and good choices. Eating healthy, not endlessly snacking, and staying within my calorie limits are the three keystones that assist me in maintaining my healthy weight. And instead of watching TV or spending time on the computer, I choose to work out. Once again, it’s all about good choices, and Good Measure Meals is the easiest (and tastiest) good choice I have ever made.
