Vegetarian Customer Forum Yields Valuable Menu Feedback

Open Discussion with GMM Vegetarian Customers Enhances Menu Development Process

At GMM we are so fortunate to have customers who are passionately engaged in creating a healthy lifestyle. They understand the important role of nutrition, and they value the quality of the product that Good Measure Meals brings to the table. They love to sing our praises…but they also don’t mind telling us when we’re not meeting their expectations.

And we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Customer feedback is so critically important to us that we not only respond to every email, tweet and Facebook post, we highlight them in our ongoing Continuous Quality Improvement meetings so that each of them can be addressed by our menu development team. And while that may not be the case with a large national conglomerate shipping millions of frozen, factory-prepared meals from coast to coast, it’s a huge advantage to a locally-owned and operated company who delivers freshly-prepared meals within a 50-mile radius of our Midtown kitchen.

This is what led us to hold the first of what we hope will be many open forums with a diverse, randomly selected group of our GMM vegetarian customers. Always among our most loyal supporters, our vegetarian customers are also among our most vocal. So we thought we would channel that passion into a healthy discussion about vegetarianism in general, eating habits, preferences, nutrition and, of course, our current menu — particularly what was working and what might need some improvement.

Our moderator also designated time for questions, comments and concerns related to the group’s experience as Good Measure Meals’ customers.

Needless to say, the input was fantastic! We gained very valuable insight into the expectations and desires of this particular group of customers. One such example: their desire for more raw vegetables (and the feedback from other customers) inspired us to incorporate several new menu items into our upcoming Spring/Summer vegetarian menu — items such as cabbage slaw, broccoli salad, spinach salad and spring salad.
