Join the GMM Team as We Race for Good!
Building a Healthier Community…One Race at a Time!
We do that through the support of our GMM customers…helping them set and reach their health and wellness goals. We do it through our corporate wellness collaborations with companies such as Coca-Cola, Turner and DeKalb Medical. We do it through our healthy cooking demonstrations for community partners such as the Atlanta Cancer Support Community and the Metro Atlanta YMCA.
And we now do it through the support for our wonderful friends in the nonprofit community.
How, you ask? Through our newly-formed Good Measure Meals 2013 Race for Good team. The team — comprised of GMM and Open Hand staff members, friends and family, our health and wellness partners…and hopefully YOU! — will run or walk in at least one 5K event each month that benefits a local nonprofit organization. This is a fun and active way for us to promote a healthy lifestyle, show support for our fellow nonprofits, and hopefully do our part to help them raise money to meet their operational needs.
When it Comes to Doing Good, There’s Power in Numbers!
Come join the Good Measure Meals Race for Good team and walk or run with us at any or all of the races we do this year. Join by yourself, with friends and coworkers, or with the whole family — the more the merrier! The GMM team always has a great time, and we’d love to have you on board! Sign up soon and you’ll receive one of our awesome GMM Race for Good technical t-shirts while supplies last!
The races we’ll participate in will be listed in this newsletter and on our Facebook page each month. The first will be the “Run the Reagan 5K” on Saturday, February 16, benefiting the Gwinnett Community Clinic and Young Life Ministries.
How to Join the Team!
1. Sign up for the 5K you would like to participate in at the race website. (For the February 16 race, click here.)
2. Forward your email with your race registration confirmation to email@example.com.
3. Be sure to include your t-shirt size in the email. (One t-shirt per person, please.)
4. Like us on Facebook, then join the Race for Good event, and you’ll receive race updates and a message that will tell you where to find us on race day to meet your new teammates and pick up your race t-shirt! (If you’re not on Facebook, just let us know and we can email you prior to the race.)
We look forward to having you join us as we Race for Good – the good of our health AND our community!
