Best Self Atlanta Magazine Partners With Good Measure Meals™
Partnership Helps Extend Reach of GMM Brand, Focuses on Support for a Healthier Lifestyle
Did you notice a new logo that suddenly appeared on each of your meals at the first of the year? That would be the logo for Best Self Atlanta magazine, our newest Good Measure Meals™ Partner in Good Health!
Best Self, Atlanta’s premier health and wellness publication, is very consistent with the GMM brand and gives both GMM and Open Hand an expanded platform for creating awareness of our mission and community nutrition services.
We hope you will access the resources offered by Best Self, as our partnership was born of our similar goals and mission of building a healthier community. As such, we are both dedicated to providing important and supportive information to the public about how to improve our lives through healthier choices, and we are both committed to the importance of engaging in activities and programs that support those in the community who are in greatest need.
In every issue of the magazine there is a wealth of information from experts on ways to incorporate healthy lifestyle changes into your daily routines. There is also the “Give-Back Guide”, which lists tons of ways you can volunteer and help improve our community.
Best Self Atlanta magazine is owned and operated by established local publisher and fitness entrepreneur, Sherri Adair. As the owner of 36 fitness centers in seven states from 1980-1989, Sherri has a personal knowledge and understanding of fitness, wellness and health issues which are largely the focus of Best Self Atlanta magazine. She has also been certified by IDEA, AAFA and ACSM.
Sherri has published several magazines in the Atlanta area since 1990 — publications which include Georgia Athlete, Atlanta Sports and Fitness and Atlanta Home Improvement. It was during that time that Adair started working on the concept for Best Self.
“I have always had a passion for exercise and fitness, but during the last three years life challenges like divorce, raising teenagers, moving and getting older started to take its toll,” Sherri explained. “I knew what I could always count on to make my life better and that was to focus my energy on taking care of my health, returning to fitness as a lifestyle and exploring options for skin care and beauty regimens to help me feel more confident about my appearance. I also knew that there was more to my journey to happy living and that was to get outside of myself and think and do for others.”
From this perspective, the idea for Best Self was created. This thinking and innate ability to identify market trends is what has defined her success.
Best Self Atlanta brings all components of looking good, feeling good and doing good together in one comprehensive local resource, and we are very proud to have them as a partner!
